Matthew Gurr serves as counsel to construction industry and government contracts clients. He assists on issues such as contract review, pre-trial discovery, and contractual interpretation. Matthew has assisted clients on both public and private construction projects, as well as in government contract matters, including federal bid protests. Prior to joining Groff Murphy, Matthew served as a law clerk at the U.S. Civilian Board of Contract Appeals in Washington, D.C. During his time at the CBCA, Matthew provided draft decisions, research memoranda, and various orders on behalf of fourteen administrative law judges presiding over government contract disputes between federal civilian agencies and contractors arising under the Contract Disputes Act. While attending the University of South Carolina School of Law, Matthew represented clients in the school’s Environmental Law Clinic.
