Ms. Bavand is a Partner with Groff Murphy. She specializes in representing general contractors, engineers and public and private owners in complex construction disputes in both the public and private sector. She also has handled complex litigation matters in state and federal courts involving government contract disputes, the Miller Act, subrogation and surety issues and construction defects. In addition, she has extensive experience in successfully resolving disputes in a cost-effective manner utilizing ADR. A representative number of construction disputes in which Ms. Bavand has been involved include the Plutonium Finishing Plant and the Environmental Remediation Contract - Group Four Excavation Project at the Hanford Nuclear Reservation, the W Hotel in Seattle, the Cingular Wireless Data Center, the Head of the Hylebos Environmental Remediation Project and various other complex construction disputes throughout the Seattle area.
